Hold the Line Sandbagging

How we stack

A wall, not a pile

A few loose bags in front of a door won't hold back much. This is how we build every barrier.

  1. Clear and sheet the groundWe sweep the area and lay heavy plastic down first, then run it up against the door.
  2. Lay the base row tightBags go end to end and get pressed flat so there are no gaps underneath.
  3. Stagger every rowEach bag sits over the seam below, like bricks, so water can't find a straight path through.
  4. Fold the plastic overThe sheeting wraps the front of the wall, which keeps water from soaking through the bags.

Questions

Common questions

Do I need to be home?

No. As long as we can get to the doors and gates, we can do the job while you're out. We'll text you a photo when it's done.

How many bags will I need?

It depends on how wide your doors are and how high we stack. We count it out when we give you a quote, so you don't have to figure it out.

Can I still use my garage?

Not while the wall is up across the door. If you need to get a car out between storms, tell us and we'll plan the wall so it's easy to move.

What happens to the bags after the season?

We come back, pick them up and haul them away. Just let us know when you want them gone.

Do you bring the sand and bags?

Yes. We bring filled bags and plastic sheeting. You don't need to buy anything.
